After using different home inspectors while purchasing properties, I realized that the whole process was overwhelming. It convinced me that there was a real need for providing detailed home inspection reports, along with in-depth review sessions.
Consequently, it inspired me to attain the InterNACHI certificate and start a home inspection business with a difference in 2019. My mission was to render quality home inspections, followed up with a post-production meeting to address any concerns.
During the web video conferencing meeting, the client and their agent can ask me any questions regarding the published report. I do my best to give clients the confidence to make an informed decision on whether to walk away or buy the house in question.
Over the past few years, I’ve noticed that the housing market has shifted from buyer to seller. Consequently, many buyers feel that excluding a home inspection clause from their offer will make it more competitive and entice the seller.
But while dropping a home inspection may sound like it will speed up the buying and closing process, in reality, it saves only three to five days on average. Also, skipping a home inspection eliminates the safety net and shifts an exuberant amount of risk to the buyer.
I recommend that the buyer adds an “As is” offer pending a home inspection clause if they feel that their financial offer is firm. It will let the seller know that the buyer intends to accept the home and its condition in its current state.
The “Pending a home inspection” clause will provide the buyer with the protection and security of a home inspection. This way, if the inspector finds anything unexpected, including severe damage, the buyer is still free to exit the deal without any financial penalty or legal action.
As an experienced home buyer and home inspector, I understand that purchasing a home is one of the most significant investments individuals will make in their lifetime. Therefore, I aim to educate anyone looking to buy a home by creating a comprehensive report.

I often get asked why I don’t charge more for the additional products and services I offer. The answer is that I don’t want to leverage money for providing the knowledge that everyone deserves to have as they prepare to buy or sell a home.
Besides, my philosophy is ‘experience over profits gains results,’ and something that I learned years ago was to take care of people, and guests, before profits to attain success.
It means that you first take care of yourself and the people you employ by treating them the way you expect to get treated. It then ensures that the guests or client receives the care and treatment that they desire. If the first two parts get done right, then the profits will naturally follow.
As a result, bringing awareness to home buyers and sellers while continuously raising industry standards fills me with immense satisfaction.
When I’m not inspecting homes, I enjoy carpentry and farming. I’m also a turf management nerd, which is a fancy way of saying I like to mow and take care of my lawn. Last year, I even got to design and build a greenhouse in my garden.
My family also has chickens, and I let my daughter sell the eggs on Saturdays in the summer to buy ice cream.
On a final note, I feel that freedom isn’t free, and free isn’t sustainable. Therefore, it takes a lot of time, work, and dedication to build the life you want and get the things that you need.
